Homely Family Photoshoot For a Little Girl from London
I had the pleasure of doing a family photoshoot with this pretty little rosebud. Her family travelled all the way from London to visit her Ouma and Oupa in Strand, South Africa. With a tall and rugged Dad and a beautiful petite blonde Mom, she has turned out to be a pretty little strawberry blonde. Like a delightful little rosebud, she pouted her mouth and played along with the photo session like a dream! Consequently, this family photoshoot started on a positive note.
Additionally, Mom’s sense of style introduced a touch of elegance to the session. The beautiful blend of colors she selected for her family’s attire harmonized perfectly with the chic interior of Ouma’s home.
CHOICE OF SHOOT & SETTING THE TONE
Mom specifically opted for an on-location shoot at Ouma’s beautiful apartment, as she was keen to capture the interaction between Ouma and her first grandchild. Stylish Ouma unexpectedly served tea halfway through the session with the best scones I have ever tasted! This provided the perfect chance for me to further get to know Mom, Dad, and baby even better. I took the opportunity to understand everyone’s expectations and set them at ease for what was to follow – not all photographs need to be perfectly staged, as it is sometimes those informal and unexpected moments that are the most magical.
I would like to thank Ouma for opening her home to us and for making me feel most welcome. It was indeed lovely to spend time with this extended family for baby’s first family photoshoot.
