BEACHFRONT ACCOMMODATION IN WITSAND

SeeHuis Witsand is a spacious beachfront holiday house with breathtaking ocean views. It is situated in the small town of Witsand, referred to as the whale nursery of South Africa. This unit overlooks San Sebastian Bay, including the Blue Flag main beach of Witsand and the Breede River Estuary. The main beach is less than 500 m from the front door.

SPACIOUS FAMILY-FRIENDLY HOLIDAY HOME

SEEHUIS is spacious and can accommodate a maximum of 10 adults and 4 children. We have 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms as well as an outside shower with hot water. Kite surfers will be glad to know that we have a closed courtyard for their equipment.

Our big open plan living area has a lounge, dining area and a fully equipped open-plan kitchen. It leads to a covered patio with braai facilities on the one side and a deck and large veranda space facing the ocean on the opposite side for your cocktails. The games room has a pool and table tennis table as well as a dart board.

  • Bathroom 2:  Shower + Toilet (En-suite)
  • Bathroom 3:  Shower + Toilet
  • Bathroom 4:  Open Air Shower

2024 Tariffs:

LOW SEASON

R4150 base tariff per night for up to 8 guests – thereafter an additional R150 per guest per night.

DECEMBER SCHOOL HOLIDAY

R6500 per night for 8 guests – thereafter an additional R150 per guest per night.

Cleaning fee (R850) and a breakage deposit (R1200) will be added to your balance account.

Minimum Stays:

  • Throughout the year we have a minimum 2-day stay.
  • Over long long weekends our policy is that you should book the long weekend as a whole.
  • Checking in the night before the first public holiday leaving on the last day of the long weekend.
  • December holiday usually has two slots: a 3-week stay and a 7-day stay, but this is not set in stone.

Such a fabulous seaside home! Perfectly positioned by the main beach, the little local shop and tea room. Fantastic outside braai area to spend the evening chatting away and braaing. A little chilly in the winter; and not very suited for kids under 3 because of the staircases but otherwise really great. Wonderful host too – thank you Karin!

Witsand is a very special place – endless walking beaches, biggest gathering of whales in Sebastian’s Bay, safe surrounds, and welcoming local community. This beachfront home, big enough for two families, must be the most perfect spot in the village. Endless views from large glass windows, a well-equipped kitchen and plenty of indoor entertainment for the kids. It rained for most of the weekend, but we were not bored at all. A great place to recharge.

Lovely comfortable home that caters well for a large family. Right on the beach with the most amazing views of the ocean. We saw plenty of whales in two days. There was plenty to do for all ages. Would definitely stay there again.
