Another reason why Witsand grows on you.

What can I tell you about Witsand…

This is where the Breede River runs into the Ocean;

It lies in the San Sebastian bay;

It is the whale nursery of South Africa where the Southern right whale comes to have their babies;

It is a fisherman’s and nature lover’s dream destination;

And it is the place where we go to connect with our souls.

Witsand is also the place where my most recent newborn session happened. Not just a newborn session, but a double newborn session. The kind and generous Uys family’s latest blessings came into this world just two weeks apart and I was there to capture them.

Apparently, the Uys family is so fertile that a second set of twins is on the way in their extended family.

Each baby slept for a good deal during the shoot. The fact that the busy farmer dad and granddad could break away from planting is much, much appreciated. Don’t you love how tenderly their hardworking hands are holding the babies?

Thank you Suzanne and Rosa for making Witsand even more special to me. It is the kind people of Witsand that makes this place more memorable.

Studio Seehuis is now open for business. Haha.
