Couple shoot at The Athletic Club & Social in Cape Town

We had a great time with interesting and well traveled couple. Rudi and Christl. Their favourite place to hang out,  Cape Town’s hottest new speakeasy-style bar, The Athletic Club & Social (ACS) was the obvious choice to take a few images of them.

The Athletic Club & Social (ACS) is situated in a 19th century three-storey building on Buitengracht Street in Cape Town. The building dates to the 1900s, when it was home to an underground speakeasy-style bar for athletes.

This is a beautiful space filled with rattan, velvet, old leather, Persian carpets, vintage-style wallpaper and antique sports equipment. The dark interiors with moody amber lighting sharply contrasted with the very bright late afternoon light streaming in.  Once again my amazing Nikon D4 lived up to the light challenge astoundingly.

We ended off the session looking out on Campsbay at Sunset.
